So now you probably want to know what Greenprene is. Well, Greenprene is a sustainable, warm, durable and UV resistant insulating foam. Instead of being made up of neoprene, this suit is fully made with Greenprene and is free of neoprene material. Greenprene is lighter than traditional neoprene and has been tested and approved by the USDA Bio Preferred program. Basically, Greenprene is created from deproteinized natural insulating foam and also has other additives like plant oils, oyster shells and sugar cane. It's not restricting and is ultra-soft, stretchy and lightweight. Other features include: recycled Aqua-silk exterior fabric laminate made from recycled water bottles, a recycled Bio-Span fabric laminate internally (also made from recycled water bottles) which is warm and comfortable, sealed seams for durability, a chest zipper for easy entry/exit, and the suit even comes in a recycled cardboard box and is hand-wrapped in recycled paper.
